Not recommended. The Deviate Nitro Elite 4 is Puma's top-tier carbon racer at around NT$7,280, with a Pebax Nitro Elite supercritical foam midsole and a full-length carbon fiber plate. Its 32/38mm stack with only a 6mm drop demands considerable calf strength and mid-to-forefoot striking technique to control. Beginners using such shoes not only fail to access their performance, but the plate's alteration of natural gait can increase load on the plantar fascia and calves. Build six months or more of base with a cushioned trainer and 150km+ monthly mileage before considering a top-tier racer.
